Welcome to Cheerful Hearts

Psalm 126:6
(NIV)
He who goes out weeping, carrying seed to sow,
will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with him.
Be Patient...Your Seed Will
Grow!!!

We
all have areas in our lives in which we are planting seeds. If you are
a parent
raising your children to be Godly, respectful, kind hearted
individuals, you
are sowing good seeds into their souls. If you are expanding your
education or
working hard towards a promotion, then you are sowing seeds that will
benefit
your future. If you are tithing and giving offerings to help the needy,
you are
sowing into the lives of others in ways that you may never realize.
The
thing about planting our seeds is that often times we don’t
see the fruit
growing before us, and can then become discouraged. For instance, as
our boys
have become teenagers, we are not observing all of the ideals we poured
into
them when they were little. It appears like perhaps, all of that
diligent work
may have fallen to the wayside. The same holds true in my business, I
have
invested countless hours of my time and energy, and invested every
extra penny
we could squeeze into starting and growing the company, yet there has
been very
little financial gain.
As
I was contemplating these things, I was reminded of our box garden. It
proves
to be an excellent analogy of the planting and reaping that happens in
our every
day lives. To begin with, before you can plant the seeds, you must do
the hard
work to prepare the soil. This entails, weeding, turning, cultivating,
and
adding rich nutrients to the foundation. Once your soil is prepped, you
then
take the tiny seeds and bury them into the ground. After all of the labor, do
you see results right away? No, you must wait patiently for the seed to
grow.
You
know you’ve’ taken all the right steps to produce a
good crop, but if you did
not have the foreknowledge that time will pass before the seed will
actually
produce , you might become disappointed. And before you ever see the
tiniest of
sprouts, you must continue to work hard, weeding, watering, protecting,
and
caring for the soil.
After much anticipated waiting, you
see a
sprout, it is very exciting, but still small, and must continue to be
nurtured.
Given time, it begins to grow stronger, thicker, and lusher. Your eyes
now
witness buds beginning to bloom, offering hope that fruit is on its
way. And
finally, once the plant matures and begins bearing fruit, pop, pop,
pop, it
just keeps on producing, usually to the point of overflowing.
Now
you are blessed in abundance with beautiful, hearty fruit, and have
such a
large bounty, that you are able to give much of it away! So wherever
you are in
the planting process, be patient…
your
seed will grow! In due
season,
your seeds will be securely rooted, and you will enjoy a wonderful
harvest!

James 1: 2-4
"Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you
face trials of many kinds. Because you know that the testing of your
faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that
you may be Mature and complete, not lacking anything."
